Healthy and vegan chocolate and almond truffles

  • 1 cup dark chocolate
  • 5 tablespoons (full-fat) canned coconut milk
  • 2 tablespoons agave, maple syrup or other liquid sweetener
  • 1 cup of almonds
  • Cocoa powder


  • In a small pot, heat the coconut milk.
  • Once the whole coconut milk is boiling, add and mix the dark chocolate together with the sweetener and let the dark chocolate melt with the heat of the coconut milk.
  • Meanwhile, process / blend the almonds in a food processor or blender.
  • Now add the melted chocolate along with the crushed almonds and mix well until everything is well integrated.
  • Using your hands, prepare the chocolate balls / truffles and then coat them with the cocoa powder.
  • Put the truffles in the fridge and let them cool for about 30 minutes before consuming them.
